40 Tage plastikfrei – das Experiment

Dass ich Challenges und Selbstexperimente total mag, solltet ihr schon wissen – wenn nicht, dann wisst ihr es spätestens jetzt! Ich mag es einfach, mir zu überlegen was ich in meinem Leben oder meinem Alltag verbessern könnte und versuche das dann erst einmal für eine bestimmte Zeit einzuhalten. Da jetzt morgen die Fastenzeit beginnt und ich es bei anderen auch immer total spannend finde und gerne lese, möchte ich mein Fastenthema wieder auf dem Blog aufgreifen. 2016 habe ich zum Beispiel versucht „Internet zu fasten“ und habe euch auch ein wenig davon berichtet, wie es mir gelungen ist und das schien euch ganz gut gefallen zu haben. Und mein Projekt „Stop to shop“ (welches ich auch unbedingt bald mal wieder starten kann (ich shoppe nämlich so gut wie gar nicht mehr), fandet ihr auch immer ganz gut…

Dieses Mal habe ich mich sogar noch mit Laura und Marilena zusammen getan und gemeinsam wollen wir versuchen in der Fastenzeit vom 14.02. bis 29.03. (also genau 40 Tage lang) Plastik zu fasten. Wir starten also hiermit die Challenge „40 Tage plastikfrei“ und mit dem gleichnamigen Hashtag #40tageplastikfrei teilen wir bei Instagram und Twitter unsere Erfolge und nehmen euch auch mit durch unseren plastikfreien Alltag und ihr seid herzlich eingeladen, euch daran zu beteiligen!. Außerdem wird es innerhalb der nächsten 40 Tage immer wieder Beiträge auf einem unserer 3 Blogs geben, mit denen wir euch Alternativen aufzeigen, euch über das Thema Plastik informieren oder tolle Produkte präsentieren, die euch den plastikfreien Alltag erleichtern können!

Warum Plastik fasten?

Ich beschäftige mich schon seit einigen Jahren mit dem Thema Nachhaltigkeit und gemeinsam mit meinem Mann versuche ich unseren Alltag ganz undogmatisch so nachhaltig, wie es für uns umsetzbar ist, zu führen. 5 Tipps für Nachhaltigkeit im Alltag habe ich euch ja vor einiger Zeit schon gegeben und mir ist es heute, wie damals wichtig, immer weiter kleine Schritte in Richtung Umweltschutz zu gehen. Mir ist es wichtig, darüber nachzudenken, was und wie viel ich konsumiere und dazu gehört nunmal auch der Gedanke ans Müllvermeiden. Außerdem lese ich in letzter Zeit viel zum Thema „Zero Waste“ und finde es wirklich spannend, dass es Menschen gibt, die gefühlt keinen Müll produzieren und möchte nun einfach für mich selbst herausfinden, ob ich das auch kann.

Ich werde euch in den nächsten Wochen Alternativen zu Dingen mit Plastikverpackung zeigen und einige DIY-Ideen mit euch teilen. Laura gibt Tipps für Bücher und Dokumentationen rund um das Thema Plastik und auch bei ihr wird es DIY-Ideen geben und Marilena wird ein wenig in die Theorie gehen und unter anderem Interviews veröffentlichen.

Wie oben bereits geschrieben, möchten wir mit unserer Challenge auch noch mehr Leute (vielleicht ja sogar dich!?) dazu inspirieren und animieren, bei #40tageplastikfrei mitzumachen. Es gibt keine festen Regeln, jeder soll einfach schauen, wie er Plastik(müll) im Alltag umgehen kann und sich ein wenig mit seinem Konsumverhalten ausseinandersetzen.

Nicht nur bei Instagram unter dem Hashtag könnt ihr eure Beiträge dazu teilen, sondern wir wollen eine Blogparade starten und freuen uns über jeden, der bis zum 29.03. einen Beitrag zum Thema plastikfrei auf seinem/ihren Blog veröffentlicht. Du hast keinen eigenen Blog? Kein Ding, gern kannst du in Form eines Gastbeitrages auf meinem Blog deine Meinung, tolle Ideen für den Alltag und/oder eigene Erfahrungen zum Thema plastikfrei veröffentlichen.   1. Ich finde das total super und habe mich auch gestern noch ganz kurz entschlossen beim Plastikfasten mitzumachen. Ich bin mal gespannt wie weit ich den Müllberg zuhause eingedämmt bekomme ;-)

  2. Habe gerade deinen Post gesehen. Super Sache! Auch ich bin – Schritt für Schritt – dabei, mich in der Müllvermeidung (bzw. allgemein i Nachhaltigkeit) zu verbessern. Das geht nicht von heute auf morgen. Aber viele Dinge lassen sich wirklich gut und einfach in den Alltag integrieren – ohne allzu großen Zeitaufwand. Und so entdecke ich oft neue Möglichkeiten – und das ist echt eine Challenge bei der einem die Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten nicht ausgehen!

    ich faste selbst nicht, aber ich finde es super, wenn man auf Plastik verzichtet, oder seinen Plastikverbrauch im Alltag einschränkt.
    Ich achte auch schon seit ungefähr einem Jahr darauf, wie viel Plastik ich verbrauche und wo ich Plastik einsparen kann.
    Mein Müll hat sich auch schon merklich reduziert und das ist etwas, was mich unglaublich freut.

  9. Ich selber faste nicht. Eher aus Prinzip weil ich nicht nur über eine bestimmte Zeitspanne auf etwas verzichten will, was (mir) nicht gut tut, sondern lieber dann schrittweise meinen Lebensstil komplett dahingehend ändere. Auf Plastik zu verzichten finde ich aber super und integriere das auch schon fokussierter in meinen Alltag. Ich bin sehr gespannt was du berichtest, wie du die Herausforderungen meisterst – ganz verzichte ich nämlich nicht. Das stelle ich mir unheimlich kompliziert vor. Daher hoffe ich auf ein paar Tipps und Tricks bei dir. :)

    wow toller Beitrag! Versuche auch immer so gut es geht auf Plastik und Verpackungen im allgemeinen zu verzichten. Ist aber in der heutigen Zeit einfach so unglaublich schwer. Man sieht es schon an deinem Bild sehr gut. Das Deo ist zwar in einer Glasflasche, aber oben drauf ist erst wieder Plastik und das ist leider überall so. Aber ich glaube wenn wir alle etwas weniger und vor allem bewusster konsumieren würden, wäre der Umwelt schon sehr geholfen.

    ich finde es ja völlig unnötig, dass wir überall Plastikverpackungen drumherum haben, sie teilweise selber noch produzieren … aber irgendwie scheinen wir dagegen fast machtlos, zumindest als Einzelperson! dein Vorhaben finde ich großartig und würde theoretisch gerne mit einsteigen!

    im Alltag verzichte so gut es geht auf die Extrahülle: keine Tüten, keine Pappbecher, keine Strohhalme! aber ganz ohne Verpackung ist für mich schier unmöglch, da ich auf den örtlichen Supermarkt angewiesen bin :/

    Ohne Plastik auszukommen ist echt schwer. Mal ehrlich, was kann man heute noch kaufen, ohne Plastik dabei zu haben? Äpfel zum Beispiel, das wird schon schwer, wenn man keinen Korb dabei hat. Bananen gehen ja noch, aber auch bei anderen, alltäglichen Produkten wird es nicht besser. Ist sogesehen echt eine Herausforderung.

Ich bin auch ein Fan von Selbstexperimenten und lese deine Artikel darüber auch gerne, das motiviert mich, selbst auch wieder mal etwas zu versuchen. 40 Tage plastikfrei leben ist eine tolle challenge und vielleicht werde auch ich mich daran beteiligen, ich wäre gespannt wie es mir gelingt! Schön wäre es, wenn man sich auch danach noch daran halten würde so gut es eben geht :)

  17. Ich finde das Thema unheimlich spannend aber auch genauso schwer, es umzusetzen. Da muss man sicher schon sehr konsequent sein und dreimal überlegen, eh man ein Produkt kauft z.B. :) hier bei uns in Dresden und in vielen anderen großen Städten gibt es ja schon „Unverpackt“-Läden, wo man Produkte ohne Plastikhülle usw. kaufen kann. Ich finde diesen Fortschritt super!

    Das ist einer meiner Vorsätze für 2018. Ich will viel mehr auf Plastik achten und versuchen es zu vermeiden.
    Ich gehe inzwischen öfter auf den Markt um mein Gemüse und Obst zu holen. Aber auch Kosmetik ist für mich ein großes Thema. Deo hole ich nun in Glasflaschen und oft greife ich zu Seifenblöcken. Es ist echt nicht einfach, aber jeder Schritt ist ein wichtiger!

Doch auch wenn ich keine Plastikflaschen kaufe und beim Einkaufen meine eigenen Taschen mitnehme, bleibt noch genügend Einkauf über, der in Plastik verpackt ist. Und doch probiere auch ich im Kleinen immer mehr Plastik zu reduzieren. Es ist dann halt nicht nur einfach das Plastik, sondern braucht andere Geschäfte zum Einkauf, einen anderen Rhythmus etc. Eine Herausforderung, die es zu meistern gilt – step by step.   22. Das ist wirklich eine wunderbare Idee! Ich freue mich sehr auf eure Erfahrungsberichte und Tipps für ein plastikfreies Leben. Ich habe mir das zwar nicht konkret für die Fastenzeit vorgenommen, versuche aber im Alltag immer weniger Plastik zu verwenden und allgemein weniger Müll zu produzieren. Das ist vor allem eine Prozess, den ich auch ganz undogmatisch angehe, weil es manchmal noch ganz schön schwierig ist. Aber es sind meist die kleinen, aber kontinuierlichen Schritte, die zählen.     toller Beitrag. Ich finde es immer wieder klasse solche Artikel zu finden, wo Menschen motiviert werden auf Nachhaltigkeit zu achten.

    Ich lebe auch sehr Plastikarm, aber es würde sicher noch besser gehen. Besser geht immer und ich werde so eine Challenge für 40 Tagen komplett auf Plastik verzichten in der nächsten Fastenzeit durchziehen :)
